The DW-5000C is the original 1983 G-Shock model. The GMW-B5000 series inherited its characteristic square design and received a fully metallic treatment as well as enhanced features, including smartphone connectivity.
The GMW-B5000-1JF features a fully metallic case using a fine resin cushioning material resistant to shocks inserted between the case and the robust stainless steel metal bezel. The high-density mounting technology also allows the watch to maintain its size. The back of the watch is equipped with a solid screw-lock system and has been DLC treated for greater wear resistance. A gold ion plating has been applied to the entire case and bracelet for a beautiful color. Visibility has also been improved thanks to the use of a film solar cell and an STN-LCD (liquid crystal).
Functionally, this model is equipped with Bluetooth® communications and can connect to a dedicated app to obtain precise time information. The watch also features practical functions, including a time correction system that uses standard time and frequency signals (Multi-Band 6), a reliable power source in the form of Tough Solar technology, a fully automatic high-luminance LED backlight, world time, and day of the week display in six languages.
